3DUI 2015 Best Technote Award

The team of authors David Scherfgen, Rainer Herpers and Timur Saitov of the Institute of Visual Computing (IVC) were awarded a Best Technote Award for their work on “A Robust Inside-Out Approach for 3D Interaction with Large Displays”. David Scherfgen presented their contribution at the IEEE Symposium on 3D User Interfaces 2015 (3DUI) in Arles, France. The paper describes and evaluates a novel input device which was developed at the IVC and is largely based on David’s master thesis titled “Camera-Based 3D Pointing Approach Using Dynamic On-Screen Markers”.
